Absolutely loved the "old town centre" the old buildings and structures, the area is busy and the food venues and pubs do a good trade here. The amount of small detail makes it so very interesting, really worth while making a detour here to visit.
Hihjly recommended.
It's a big old town with beautiful narrow streets and traditional houses. Make sure to walk up to the cathedral and down to the river to see the best parts of the old town.
Best place for a day trip… Free trip no cost… take your own food and coffee
Nice little town with a fantastic old town district.
Limburg us very romantic city. Small wonders, no effort to reach the Cathedral, then next to train station is already the old town. So aiming for Cathedral would make you wonder first to the medieval houses. There are many restaurants but surprisingly mostly Italians. I am expecting some traditional Limburg especialities ( food) but I just see pizzas..Well I went to Asian restaurant away from old town, cos it was full of tourist. Which make it interesting too..
Pretty little village, very old plenty of history.
A city with more than 1000 years of history, mainly known for the Dom (Cathedral) of late Roman style, almost 800 years old (since 1235). The narrow and picturesque streets, with old traditionally build houses, full of pubs, are a testimony of the many centuries which passed over this city, which deserves you to spend half a day walking and admiring the environment.
Good old architectures to see.
